With the introduction of the smart system in 2022, Bosch has made extensive changes to its e-bike system. Almost all components and parts have been adapted and optimized. The biggest technical innovation here is that the central control of the e-bike now runs via the Bosch LED remote handlebar control unit.This means that you can now operate your Bosch e-bike without a separate display. But if you do not want to do without the convenience and extensive status information, there is the Kiox 300 retrofit kit. With just a few simple steps, you can thus attach the popular Bosch display.
For the conversion, you only need to attach the Kiox 300 to your e-bike and switch between the e-bike drive and LED remote with the display cables. As a first step, mount the Bosch Smart System Display mount to your bracket, if applicable to the included 1-arm bracket. Depending on how you want to mount the Kiox 300, you will need a different display mount. Mounting in front of the handlebar - you need the mount with cable exit at the back. Mounting behind or above the handlebar - you need the mount with cable exit in front. Now you can mount, for example, the one-arm holder from the Kiox 300 conversion set. Now take the existing display cable from the control unit and plug it into the Kiox 300 mount. Now use the 30cm display cable from the conversion kit to reconnect the display holder to the LED Remote. The assembly is now complete and the Kiox 300 is ready for use. For ideal attachment to any e-bike, the Bosch Smart System display cable is available in different lengths and you can choose between 150mm, 250mm or 300mm.
