All terms and conditions apply to all sales and transactions on this website, Essex Bicycles recommends that you read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.
They do not affect your statutory rights.

Essex Bicycles Ltd is registered in England and Wales– (12615493, 30 Station Lane, Basildon, Essex, SS133BG) and are a credit broker not a lender. We offer credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance Limited. V12 Finance is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, registration number 679653. Credit provided is subject to age and status.

Essex Bicycles Contract

Any orders submitted through the website is with Essex Bicycles only. When making a purchase with Essex Bicycles via the webiste, all goods must be paid in full and accepted before all orders are processed and dispatched. Essex Bicycles will confirm your order and its status via email, the contact information that you provide during the order process. Essex Bicycles recommends that all email junk folders are to be checked.

All terms and conditions are agreed when you click the 'accept' button and a binding contract is formed when you proceed to complete the 'checkout process'. This is confirmation that you are paying for the goods which is only recognised once you have received confirmation of your order. By not completing the checkout process constitutes our acceptance of your order.Non-completion of the checkout process constitutes non-acceptance of your order.

Upon Essex Bicycles receiving your order, an email shall be sent in recognition and a further email to confirm the status of your purchase. Please note that the personal information disclosed at the point of the 'checkout process' shall be used within the details of your shipment email, this includes your name, order number, quantity and the total price of your goods. Essex Bicycles recognises the binding contract at this stage of the order process.

In the event of any obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods ordered, Essex Bicycles shall contact you directly via the contact information submitted on the order to highlight these errors and discuss whether you would like to proceed with the order. These errors may include misinformation on the website, prices and specification of the item. Essex Bicycles are entitled to terminate a contract in these instances.

General Terms

Essex Bicycles' terms and conditions and all its transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non–exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.

There may be additional terms and conditions for competitions, special online events and offers in which Essex Bicycles shall alert all participating parties in line with our privacy policy.

In the event that any cycle or wheeled goods sold on Essex Bicycles have a specification change that is not in identical to the orignal listing, Essex Bicycles can not accept liability for this. All specification changes shall be replaced to the most equivalent product at the time of manufacture.

Calls to Essex Bicycles may be recorded for quality and training purposes.

Essex Bicycles reserve the right to amend or adjust prices for all goods sold and services offered, in store and online. Please note that prices may vary online compared to our store in the event of any online only/ store only promotions.

Promotional codes can only be used on full price items and cannot be used more than once unless stated otherwise or in conjunction with any other offer. Promotional codes are created by Essex Bicycles only and shall require validation.

VAT

Essex Bicycles trades in the UK only and all prices in store and online include VAT at a rate of 20% in line with government requirements. If you wish to place an order with us and you are outside the EU or in a tax-exempt country, please email info@essexbicycles.com before proceeding with any orders.

Card Payment and Security

Essex Bicycles accept most major credit cards and accept bank transfers and Paypal purchases for off-line purchases. All purchases are always in UK pounds (£) Sterling and Essex Bicycles cannot be held accountable for additional charges issued by the bank, this includes purchases made in the UK and Internationally. Please note, exchange rates change on a daily basis and these changes are beyond Essex Bicycles’ control and cannot be held responsible.

All information supplied to Essex Bicycles is kept safe and secure from the point of accessing our website to the good(s) arriving to your chosen UK destination. All information is kept private and is not passed onto third parties, marketing organisations or any other company. All personal information collected is purely for the use of Essex Bicycles and solely for the purpose of completing your order. In the instance that your address is remote, we may share your phone number with the courier to ensure you receive your goods. This shall be discussed prior to dispatch.

Stock Availability

In the unlikely event that Essex Bicycles are unable to fulfil your order due to insufficient stock, we will notify you of this directly and as soon as possible. This will result in a full refund via the original payment method used to purchase the goods from Essex Bicycles unless agreed otherwise. If a refund is required, this will be made as soon as possible but please allow 7 working days for the funds to appear in your bank account due to bank clearance. Essex Bicycles are not obliged to provide compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Essex Bicycles may run special events on limited stock and is subject to availability. We ask our customers to be aware of this and that any changes to stock can take a few hours to be amended.

Responsibilities

Some products within our business that are available online (and in store) can be hazardous or lead to serious injury if not used as directed. Customers who purchase these goods must be competent and understanding of the dangers involved using these products and accept full liability of any injuries and damages caused. Any training or guidance required in the understanding of how to use this equipment is solely the responsibility of the individual. Essex Bicycles will not accept liability for any damage or harm caused to the person(s) or product.

Essex Bicycles shall ensure all instructions or technical data is supplied to the Buyer at the point of purchase.

It is strictly forbidden to re-sell any goods purchased through Essex Bicycles. All items purchased are to be for personal use only.
